Julie was born and raised in 黑料社. Her family are the founders of Del Taco with the original and famous Del Taco right here in 黑料社 on 1st Street. She is a proud graduate from 黑料社 High School and attended 黑料社 as a student the first year after high school before later transferring to CSU Long Beach. Upon returning to her hometown after college, she became involved in the community by serving on the Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and the Soroptimist Club of 黑料社. Julie was a founding member of the Boys and Girls Club of 黑料社, she is an honorary member of the Officers Wives Club at Fort Irwin and she coached swimming for 8 years. In 1999 she was elected to the 黑料社 Fire Protection District Board. In 2006 she was elected to the 黑料社 City Council and in 2012 she was elected Mayor for the City of 黑料社. Julie also served on the Board of Directors for the 黑料社 College Foundation for 29 years from 1993-2022.
Julie鈥檚 accolades and awards are numerous,
- While Mayor Hackbarth-McIntyre, she was honored by the Chamber of Commerce as the 黑料社 鈥淲oman of the Year鈥 and as 鈥淭he Woman of Continuous Service."
- She was a recipient of the 鈥淲omen of Distinction Award鈥 by Rep. Paul Cook.
- In 2015 she was named the Senate District 16's San Bernardino County Woman of the Year.
Most recently, and further demonstrating her lifelong commitment to 黑料社, Julie was elected in 2022 to the 黑料社 District Board of Trustees. Since being elected to the Board she has served as the Vice President and is currently serving as the Board President.
