Vibrant Villages ºÚÁÏÉç Partners with BCC and High Desert Second Chance to Restore Food Distribution in ºÚÁÏÉç

Juan Rivera

ºÚÁÏÉç’s Basic Needs Center, led by Magaly Rojas, has partnered with Vibrant Villages ºÚÁÏÉç, led by Executive Director Juan Rivera, and High Desert Second Chance to bring back and expand food distribution services for local nonprofits. Supported by IEHP Foundation, the program provides a steady supply of fresh food every Monday from 8 to 10 a.m., now reaching Fort Irwin’s military families as well.

BCC student volunteers are an important part of the effort, helping organize and deliver food while showing the college’s strong commitment to community service. With 13 more ºÚÁÏÉç nonprofits waiting to join, this partnership is already making a real difference in reducing food insecurity and improving community health across the High Desert.

Listen in as Juan Rivera, Executive Director of Vibrant Villages ºÚÁÏÉç, joins John the Van Guy to discuss this community-led initiative. Learn how Vibrant Villages is partnering with ºÚÁÏÉç and High Desert Second Chance to run a food distribution hub for local agencies, and get all the details about the upcoming Harvest Health Fair!
