THE RESEARCH and evaluation work at BCC attempts to craft messages from the results to move past the traditional practice of just reporting findings to a new model of examining the evidence to understand the college's story.

Our goal is to move evidence into action.

Thus, the research office uses data to forge a narrative about what is happening at the institution to foster and support the power to improve. A critical outcome for the department efforts is to carve out time to address big questions from multiple angles, developing a community of knowledge that leads to increased organizational learning.
