Since 2017, Eva has been serving as Superintendent-President of ºÚÁÏÉç. She began her career in the California community college system over 30 years ago as a Research intern and Adjunct Instructor at Southwestern College in Chula Vista. She later joined ºÚÁÏÉç as the Director of Institutional Research and then as Full-time Instructor of Anthropology. Next, she served as Dean of Institutional Effectiveness and Student Success at Long Beach City College for ten years before returning to ºÚÁÏÉç. Eva holds a bachelor’s degree in anthropology from Pomona College and became a Fulbright scholar while earning her doctorate in anthropology from the University of California, San Diego. Prior to her work in community colleges, Eva worked as a research scientist at the Institute for Research on Learning in Palo Alto, California and later as a workplace anthropologist at Pitney Bowes Advanced Concepts and Technologies in Connecticut.
